Assembly Systems

Our business sector Assembly Systems is focussed on automating assembly processes. Typically, different individual components are fed to a round indexing table and sequentially assembled to a module.

Basically, the assembly process consists of a sequence of pick-and-place operations. It is supported and completed by various other operations. They generally include the feeding of all components and additional application-specific processes like welding, stamping, bending, screwing, riveting, pressing, optical and non-optical inspection, gluing, printing, labeling and packaging.

Complex systems are combined of several round indexing tables and linear transfers. Multiple tooling and workpiece holders provide the option of parallel processing and increased production throughput.

Assembly lines are highly customer specific and designed for high volume production. Examples of complex assemblying are typically electrical switches and connectors, insulin injection pens and blood sugar measurement devices as well as automotive subassemblies. They represent the most important industry segments electrical/electronics, medical and automotive.
